FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

— HOW CAN I MAKE PAYMENT?
We prefer cash payments immediately after the photoshoot on location. You can pay in either USD or VND. If you pay in USD, we can also provide change in USD. Alternatively, online payments are accepted via Kakao Pay, Western Union, Binance Pay, or PayPal. Please note that any transaction fees for online payments must be covered by the client.
— HOW CAN RECEIVE MY PHOTOS?
Typically, within 3 days after the photoshoot, I will send you an email with links to download the original photos. Please note that during major holidays, delivery may be delayed by 1 or 2 days. For edited photos, after downloading the original photos, you must select the images you'd like to be edited and email me your choices. If no editing request is submitted within 30 days after the photoshoot, it will be understood that you are satisfied with the original photos and do not require any edits.
— IS THE PHOTOGRAPHER VIETNAMESE OR KOREAN ?
The photographer is Vietnamese.
— I CAN'T SPEARK ENGLISH, CAN I CONSULT IN KOREAN?
Yes, you can, we'll use the phone translation, we've consulted a lot of Korean clients in Korean, and when we get to the photo session, the photographer can say a few Korean words to help you pose. As long as you get the full information before the photo shoot, everything will be very easy.
— WHAT IT RAINS?
If it's light rain, we can take pictures, I'll send you some sample photos. If it's heavy rain, you can change the shooting schedule, we'll consider it, and if our schedule is suitable, we can change the schedule. Also, you can cancel the photo shoot because of rain, even if it's light rain, please send a cancellation request 2 hours before the appointment.
— CAN I DELAY MY PHOTOSHOOT?
We understand that unforeseen circumstances such as delayed flights, traffic jams, or getting lost can happen. Therefore, you may arrive up to 15 minutes late without any issues. If you are more than 15 minutes late, the waiting time may be deducted from the photoshoot duration you booked. However, we always prioritize our clients’ experience. If we have no other appointments or if time permits, we will do our best to provide you with the full photoshoot duration.
— CAN YOU HELP ME WITH MY LUGGAGE?
The photographer usually has an assistant who can help you with some of your luggage, however, please pack light if possible. In case you have to bring a suitcase, we can meet at a cafe and then leave your suitcase there. Usually, the cafe staff will guide you to put your luggage in a safe place. Please note, although we will help you with your luggage, we are not responsible for the belongings inside the bags, crowded areas and on festival days there may be theft. You should keep your belongings in a safe or hotel.
— WILL BE THERE A LOT OF PEOPLE ON THE SHOOTING DAY?
Hoi An ancient town is often crowded with tourists, especially on holidays, however, we have many years of experience here, we know good locations to take photos for you. In case you feel shy about taking photos in front of the crowd, I will advise you on locations that are not crowded, please message us to receive more detailed advice.
— DO I NEED TO TIP THE STAFF AND PHOTOGRAPHER?
You may consider tipping in the following situations: If you genuinely wish to reward the photographer for their effort, you can tip any amount starting from $1, depending on your level of satisfaction. There is no fixed amount. For the photographer’s assistant, if they help carry more than three bags for you, a tip of $2 or 50,000 VND would be appreciated. They will be touched by your thoughtfulness. However, tipping is not mandatory. Even if you choose not to tip, you will still receive the highest level of service. At Mona Studio, our staff are fairly compensated, and their salary is their primary income. We sincerely appreciate the opportunity to serve you.
— DO YOU PROVIDE FREE ACCESSORIES?
We currently do not provide free accessories. However, if you have any difficulty preparing something yourself, please let me know via message.
— WHERE SHOULD WE BUY THE BOAT TICKETS? SHOULD WE BUY THEM BEFORE MEETING THE PHOTOGRAPHER?
You should not buy boat tickets and candles (sowoncho) before meeting the photographer. The tickets might not match the type needed, and if you board the wrong boat, it could take you away from the city area. After meeting the photographer, they will guide you to the correct ticket counter, where you can purchase the right tickets based on the number of people.
— DOES THE PHOTOGRAPHER RIDE ON THE SAME BOAT WITH THE CLIENTS?
Yes, the photographer and their assistant will ride on the same boat with the clients. The boat only fits 5 people, so you can go on the boat with up to 3 people. Taking photos on the boat requires posing and adjusting positions, and the boat will drift, so the photographer cannot do their job properly unless they are on the boat with you.
— DO YOU USE LIGHTING EQUIPMENT DURING THE PHOTOSHOOT?
We use lighting equipment when the natural light is not sufficient to improve the quality of the photos. However, if you feel uncomfortable attracting attention from the crowd, please let us know — in that case, we will limit the use of lights.
— WILL YOU CHOOSE THE PHOTO LOCATIONS OR WILL I?
We will choose the locations that best match the photo package you selected. However, you’re welcome to send us some sample photos as references, and we will try to accommodate your request if the locations are within a reasonable distance from the shooting route.
