My Khe Beach Photoshoot in Da Nang
3 Things You Should Bring to My Khe Beach in Da Nang
1. Sunglasses
My Khe Beach is beautiful not only because of the palm trees and long coastline, but also because of the bright sunlight that makes everything look fresh and vibrant in photos. The downside is that the sun can be quite strong, especially around midday. A good pair of sunglasses will help you feel more comfortable, stop you from squinting every time someone takes a photo, and add a stylish touch to your beach outfit at the same time.
2. A Hair Tie or a Hat
The sea breeze at My Khe can be lovely and romantic, but it can also be surprisingly strong. Sometimes it gives your photos a soft, natural movement, and sometimes it blows your hair all over your face at the exact wrong moment. Bringing a hair tie or a hat is a simple way to make things easier. A hat can also soften the sunlight on your face and make your photos look more flattering, especially during bright daytime shoots.
3. Someone to Take Photos of You
If you’re visiting My Khe Beach, you really should leave with at least a few beautiful photos. It’s one of the most iconic beaches in Da Nang, with soft sand, blue water, and a clean open view that works so well for travel photography. But if you’re traveling alone or simply want photos that feel more natural than phone snapshots, bring someone who can take pictures for you — or let Mona Studio do it. We know the best light, the quietest spots, and how to help you enjoy the beach while turning your trip into photos you’ll actually want to keep.
When Is the Best Time for a Photoshoot at My Khe Beach?
If you want the short answer, the best time for a photoshoot at My Khe Beach is early in the morning or late in the afternoon.
Early morning
Morning is one of our favorite times to shoot at My Khe Beach, especially for families with children or anyone who wants soft, fresh-looking photos. The sunlight is gentler, the beach feels calmer, and you don’t have to deal with the strong midday heat. It’s also a good time if you want to walk barefoot on the sand, enjoy the sea breeze, and take photos without too many people in the background.
Late afternoon
Late afternoon is another beautiful option, especially for couples and solo travelers. The light becomes warmer, the beach feels more relaxed, and the atmosphere is often more romantic. If the weather is kind, this is when My Khe can look especially beautiful in photos, with golden light reflecting on the sand and the sea.
What we usually don’t recommend
Midday is usually the hardest time for a beach photoshoot in Da Nang. The sunlight can be very strong, shadows on the face become harsh, and it’s much easier to end up squinting in photos. It’s still possible to shoot at My Khe at noon, but if you have the flexibility, sunrise or the last hour before sunset will almost always give you a more comfortable experience and better-looking photos.
It’s also worth checking the weather before your photoshoot. In Da Nang, summer afternoons can sometimes bring sudden rain or thunderstorms, and during the rainy season the sea is often rougher, darker, and less appealing in photos. On those days, My Khe Beach may not be the best choice for a family session, especially if you’re traveling with young children who need a more comfortable and predictable environment.
